Raymond Alcaraz Memorial Race at Havasu 95 Speedway
Lake Havasu City AZ.

Jan. 19th 2019 , Havasu 95 Speedway celebrated the life of Ray Alcaraz with an event at the speedway. The event was attended by Ray's wife Nancy Alcaraz , Ray & Nancy's children Andy & Lori , along with many friends from all areas racing going back to the early 1950's  Rays son Herk Alcaraz was there with their #77 midget. Herk made  2 solo laps in memory of his father to get the evening started . Then Herk joined in the racing with the Arizona Vintage Racing Association ,The West Coast Vintage races then took to the track for some close racing.  The Bandoleros, Outlaw Karts, and the Factory Stock all put on a great show. Capping off the night was a 65 lap Street Stack main event was won by Jeremy Orozco who lead the race flag to flag , This up & coming young driver showed he has what it take to command  a race & take it all the way to the checkers .
I highly recommend making the trip to Lake Havasu City AZ & catching the races at Havasu 95 Speedway. It is a family run racing venue with great racing , wonderful food & beverages and friendly staff. Prices are set so you can bring the whole family & you will not break the bank , Havasu 95 Speedway is easily acceptable to those with mobility issues, & has clean modern facilely. At a time when tracks are closing , Havasu 95 Speedway is stepping up to fill that void in the Southwest racing scene.

SAN DIEGO NEEDS A RACING MUSEUM

San Diego has a rich racing history that goes back to the early 1900's and has been the home of many race tracks.
Paradise Mesa Drag Strip ,Balboa Stadium, Lane Field , El Cajon Valley speedway , Cajon Speedway , 2 Lakeside Speedway's , South Bay /117 Speedway, Carlsbad Dragstrip & motorcycle track, Torrey Pines Road Races , Hour Glass Field , Barona Speedway & Dragstrip.... just to mention a few. There is also been many off road races all over the San Diego area. Lets not forget the power boat racing on the bays & offshore of San Diego. Plus the Land Speed Racers that have come out of San Diego.

I started this page to help get the ball rolling on this project.
.. We are going to need the support of local government & the racing community . Not to mention needing sponsors big & small to get this off the ground.

We are open to all suggestion & ideas on where this museum should be & how we can get it done...
PLEASE Fell Free to contact us with your ideas....

The TROPHY QUEENS
Then there were the trophies ,
Not as sweet as a kiss from a TROPHY QUEEN ,
but they lasted longer... Some times.....
